12" Ship Wheel Clock
The Hampton Nautical Ship Wheel Clock is made out of real shisham hardwood and is a great addition to any home and office. Shisham is very similar to the Teak that we all know to be an extremely hard warring hardwood that will sustain the elements. In addition the center of the wheel is solid brass and includes a real working clock. The clock is approximately 5 inches in diameter and rests perfectly inside the ship wheel. This small wooden ship wheel clock requires double AA batteries to operate and can be easily changed in the back. This ship wheel clock also features a hinge in the back to easily hang on any wall. 15" Wooden Ship Wheel
The Hampton Nautical 15-inch Diameter Wooden Ship's Wheel is made from a rare high quality wood, Shisham, and is by far the highest quality ship wheels available. The 15" ship wheel has six spokes. The spokes are skillfully turned and the wheels are assembled with plugged screw heads. The brass center hubs have a standard one-inch (25.4 mm) diameter hole and machined key ways. The wheel's thickness is 1 3/4 inch (4.4 cm) and the wheel weighs 5 pounds. 1900s Dutch Botter Sailboat
A hundred years ago, that wonderful inland sea in the center of the Netherlands then called the Zuyderzee, served as the hunting grounds for the likes of this Botter. Built from heavy oak planks and timbers, they navigated the shallow shoals by being flat bottomed, using lee boards hanging from their sides to counter drift. Fish were kept alive in a fish pen in the center of the cockpit.
